Spring service

  • Extension springs

Extension springs are a common spring system installed on smaller doors. While we will replace extension springs on, we recommend changing out to a torsion springs system. Extension springs work on pulling tension, so when they break, they can damage vehicles, walls, or any people near by. Carl’s makes sure there is a set of safety cables installed on every system, but that is still no guaranteed to keep problems from happening. Torsion springs are safer.

    — Extension spring replacement on a door up to 12’ wide $325.00

    — Extension spring replacement on a door over 12’ wide - Quote ONLY

  • Torsion springs

A torsion spring system is the safest spring system for a homeowner to have in their home, and a system any door company can work on. When a torsion spring breaks, you will hear a loud boom but the spring stays on the steel shaft keeping your family safer.

    — Doors with single torsion springs $350.00

    — Doors with two torsion springs $450.00

  • Torsion Conversion

While we will work on all makes and models of doors, some spring systems we cannot replace exactly as is. We recommend taking one of these specialized systems and changing them to an industry standard system like the torsion springs system. We supply the spring(s), shaft, cables, drums and all other parts as needed to help make your door operate better then ever.

    — Torsion spring conversion with a single spring $425.00

    — Torsion spring conversion with dual springs $525.00
